SPRING 2020 INVESTMENT BANKING INTERNSHIP

POSITION TITLE: Investment Banking Internship
Crosstree’s Investment Banking Interns are given a high level of responsibility in a specific industry team. Under the supervision of an industry specialist banker, Interns work in mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory providing hands-on contributions to client projects. Interns will enhance their financial analysis skills, develop an understanding of capital markets and clients, and contribute and generate ideas throughout the internship. Interns are expected to work on every aspect of the transaction process, including participation in drafting sessions, new business proposals and due diligence meetings. The majority of the tasks performed by the Intern will require writing and strong computer skills. The position will offer the ability to learn about investment banking on a broad scale, specific segments of the Life Sciences industry at a detailed level and provide experience and knowledge of multiple research tools and methods.
- Develop financial models for transactions.
- Perform valuation methodologies, comparative company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis on companies.
- Provide input to valuations and mergers and acquisitions advisories.
- Research, analyze, present and document drafting elements of a developing transaction.
- Collaborate with Senior Bankers to develop client presentations.
- Follow current events in respective industry groups in order to keep Bankers informed about critical issues in the news that are relevant to current and prospective clients.
- Maintain CRM and proprietary databases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Prefer MBA or MSF candidate, but finance undergrads with requisite knowledge will also be considered. Must be computer proficient with a basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with various database platforms a plus. Must have excellent writing, communications, and logic skills. Must be energetic, motivated and able to take initiative on projects. Must be organized, dependable, reliable and professional.
Applicants interested in full semester internship only. Applicant must be available to work standard banking hours . The firm will accommodate the Intern’s academic responsibilities and external activities, and will arrange work schedules around holidays, final exams or other academic activities. Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Job location is in Tampa, FL.
