Jason Layton

Jason Layton has 20 years of M&A and finance leadership experience with more than 10 years focused exclusively on the pharma services industry. He has served clients in a variety of roles such as M&A counsel at a multi-national law firm, corporate development and finance leader at publicly traded and private-equity backed clinical research organizations, and as a sell-side investment banker. Prior to joining Crosstree Capital, Layton was a partner in a boutique investment bank based in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. He has held corporate development and finance leadership roles at contract research organizations, PPD and Quintiles, and served as corporate counsel at the international law firm of Hunton, Andrews, & Kurth. Layton holds a B.S. in Biological Anthropology from Duke University, a J.D. from Tulane Law School, and an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
