mProve Health acquired by Bracket October 24, 2017

Overview

Bracket, a leading clinical trial technology and specialty services provider, announced the acquisition of mProve Health on October 24, 2017.

Bracket was early to market with Electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessments (eCOA) and the first Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) mobile application.

mProve is a provider of mobile technologies for life sciences companies, with its leading product being mPulse, a platform which enables data collection via mobile apps or SMS text.

Significance

The acquisition centers on both companies support of tech-enabled clinical trials that improve patient engagement using “Bring Your Own Device” mobile tools in clinical trials.

The acquisition provides Bracket with native mHealth (mobile health) capabilities, which helps it capture the trend found in a recent report by KNect365 which indicated mHealth technology as one of the most powerful opportunities in clinical trials.

mHealth and BYOD empower patients to become partners in their trials, and subsequently, deliver more accurate PRO and increase the likelihood of a successful trial.
